US President Donald Trump said in a post on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’ that Israel has agreed with Gaza to return his army, which has been shared with Hamas. Trump wrote, ‘After Hamas confirmed, the ceasefire will immediately become effective, the exchange of hostages and prisoners will begin, and situations will be created for the return of the next phase from the Palestinian region of Israel, which will lead to the end of this 3,000 year old disaster.’
Earlier, the US President had warned Hamas to accept the ‘Gaza Shanti proposal’ quickly. Trump had said that Hamas would no longer tolerate delay in accepting the peace proposal. He ordered Hamas to stop the fight and put arms, otherwise warned of serious consequences. His new warning came after the success in the Gaza ceasefire agreement. Hamas reacted positively to Trump’s Gaza peace proposal.

This Palestinian Armed Military Group agreed to release the Israeli hostages and the administration of Gaza, but refused to lay down arms and demanded further talks on the future governance. Donald Trump’s 20-point Gaza Plan includes immediate ceasefire, the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails, a phased return of the Israeli army from Gaza, the establishment of a government under international surveillance in Gaza.
