This route passes the ships from all over the world and the way to pass the ship is just 3 kilometers. This is the way that it is not a difficult task for Iran to close the 3 -kilometer wide path in the possession of Iran. EIA estimates that 84 percent of the crude oil that comes in Asia and 83 percent of the natural gas comes through this hormuz, which is supplied in China, Japan, South Korea and India. It is a matter of India, so about 40 percent of the crude oil and gas used in India reaches India through this hormuz.
India also buys oil from Russia, America, Africa and Latin America. So even though the effect on supply in India is less, the price will be affected. Increasing the price of oil in India means increasing the price of everything. In such a situation, if Iran has closed this path, then India or any other country will interrupt the supply of oil and gas, because there is no other option of hormuz.
