India Today According to the report, Sanjeev Kumar, a resident of Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh, recently bought a new scooter. He wanted a VIP number for this scooter. After which he bought the number plate (HP21C -0001) number plate in the online auction organized by Himachal Pradesh Transport Department (HP21C -0001).
It is being told that only two people took part in this online auction. In which a person from Baddi in Solan district bid up to Rs 13.5 lakh for this number. But Sanjeev Kumar achieved this number by bidding a bid of Rs 14 lakh.
This entire amount of auction of VIP number plate has been deposited in the treasury of the state government, due to which revenue has been received without any additional expenditure. According to transport officials, it can be the most expensive registration number issued for two -wheelers in the state.
Sanjeev Kumar said that he is fond of collecting special and unique numbers, and he wanted a similar VIP number for his new scooter. He said, “Passion has no cost, when you want something extraordinary, you don’t see the price.” Sanjeev’s son Dinesh Kumar said, “We had applied online for the number. Another person was also in this race, but we got this number by making the biggest bid.”
