Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly attacked the opposition during a discussion on the President’s address in Parliament. He said that some people find it boring to talk about the poor, but our government has not only shown slogans, but has shown true development. PM Modi said, “The people of the country gave me an opportunity to express my gratitude for the 14th time, I thank the public for this.” He informed that India has crossed 25 percent of the 21st century and the coming 25 years are very important to make the country a developed India.
The Prime Minister said that 25 crore people have come out of poverty. Taking a dig at the opposition, he said that for decades only slogans of ‘poverty remove’ were given, but our government converted it into reality. He said, “We gave true development, not false slogans to the poor.” PM Modi said that his government gave 4 crore poor houses, built more than 12 crore toilets and provided water facility to 12 crore families from tap. He lashed out at the opposition, saying that the attention of some leaders is not on the problems of common people, but on things like ‘Jakuji’ and stylish shower in homes.
Taking a dig at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Prime Minister Modi said that some leaders try to show themselves the Messiah by getting a photo session in the huts of the poor, but in reality they have no concern with the problems of the poor. He said, “Those who get a photo session in huts find them boring in Parliament.” PM Modi also referred to the statement of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in which he said that if 1 rupee comes out from Delhi, only 15 paise reaches the villages. PM Modi said that who used to go to this money after all, this people of the country can understand well.
Referring to the transparent policies of his government, he said that he removed 10 crore fake beneficiaries from the schemes and saved Rs 3 lakh crore from going in the wrong hands. He said, “Our model is also savings, development. People’s money is spent only for the public.” Prime Minister Modi said that his government’s cleanliness campaign was made fun of, but its effect was that today toilets have been built in every village and people are living a better life. He said that the goal of his government is to uplift the poor and for this he will continue to work continuously.
