This year there will be a ban on climbing the chariot of servants in Puri Jagannath Rath Yatra. If a person climbs the chariot, the Odisha government will take strict legal action on him.
There will also be a ban on mobile use on the chariot. Servants will not be able to take mobile on the chariot. State Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan gave this information on Sunday.
To maintain discipline, the government has also sought a list of nominated servants performing rituals during the entire Rath Yatra.
AI-Ineble CCTV cameras will be installed, command-control center will be built
Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania held a security review meeting for the Rath Yatra on Sunday. DGP said that the road connecting Uttara Square to Puri near Bhubaneswar and CCTV cameras are being installed on Puri-Konark Road.
DGP reported that integrated command and control center will be set up to monitor the crowd and traffic. AI-Ineble CCTV cameras are being installed at important places of Puri for real time monitoring.
Rapid Action Force, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and special agencies will also be deployed in Puri. Drone and anti-draone systems will also be deployed in Puri during the journey.
On the other hand, the Chief Secretary of the state Manoj Ahuja visited Puri on Sunday and took stock of the construction of the chariots. He informed that the chariot construction is going on according to the scheduled time.
