Sources say that former Vice President Dhankhar is going to shift to 15 Gadaripur farmhouse located in Chhatarpur area of ​​Delhi next week. Since Dhankar has not yet been allotted a government bungalow. In such a situation, till the repair of the bungalow and completion of decoration, they will be temporarily in Chhatarpur Farmhouse.
Sources said that Jagdeep Dhankhar has written a letter to the Ministry of Urban Development demanding a government accommodation received under the rules. However, the ministry has not yet allotted them bungalow.

The Director of Estate under the Ministry of Urban Development has vacated the Type-8 bungalow located at 34 APJ Abdul Kalam Marg for Dhankhar, but according to the information given by the CPWD officials to the Vice President’s Secretariat, it will take about three months to complete the repair and decoration of this bungalow.
According to tradition, former President, former Vice President and former Prime Minister are allotted a type-8-class bungalow in the Lutyens Zone of Delhi. Apart from this, if they want, they are given two acres of land at their ancestral place.

Dhankar took over as Vice President in August 2022 and on 21 July 2025 he suddenly resigned as Vice President. After this, now the process of government housing has started.
