The craft beauty and religious dignity that was seen during the life of Ram Darbar in the grand Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya, the traditional workmanship of Jaipur city of Rajasthan was specially contributed to it. From the idols of Shri Ram, Mata Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuman ji to their grand throne and ornaments, the echo of the craft tradition of Jaipur was clearly seen in every element.

The most notable role in this event was the well -known craftsman of Jaipur, Rishabh Bairathi and his family, who have been associated with this sacred tradition for eight to nine generations. The throne prepared for Ram and Sita is not only religious significance, but is also a lively example of Indian crafts. This throne has been constructed with pure silver, on which 24 carat pure gold plates have been done. Its design is inspired by the woodwork of ancient Ayodhya and the temple of South India.

The throne was composed keeping in mind the structure of Ram Darbar described in Ramcharitmanas and Valmiki Ramayana. The construction process was started about five months ago and a total of eight to ten skilled craftsmen participated in it. The process included various stages like design construction, carving, painting, plating and finishing. Traditional manual chisel and modern polishing machines were used for fine carving.

The position of the idols of Ram Darbar is also scriptural, Shri Ram has been placed in the center, Mata Sita is Virajit on her left, which comes in the south direction from the traditional point of view. Laxman ji is shown standing on the right, who is a symbol of obedient Anuj and protector, while Hanuman ji is shown in reverence with folded hands near the feet.

Among the religious symbols carved on the throne, Suryadev is a symbol of Ram ji’s Suryavanishya tradition, a lotus is a sign of purity and divinity and Kirti mouth is considered a symbol of positive energy and royal power. In this entire composition, craftsmanship, Vastu Shastra and religious texts like Mayamatam, Manasar and Ramayana were studied deeply.

Prashant Pandey looked after the design and religious dignity of the idols of Ram Darbar. He ensured the religious purity and established traditions of the idols, so that the entire work was completed with full devotion, restraint and scripture.
