The Jalandhar Counter Intelligence team of Punjab Police has failed a major terrorist conspiracy. The team has recovered 86P hand grenades used in the terrorist incident after questioning the operatives associated with BKI (Babbar Khalsa International).

A few days ago, Counter Intelligence arrested Rajasthan -resident Hrithik Narolia and a minor. Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav said that his colleagues were also arrested while taking action on the information received after questioning Hrithik and the minor.

Among them, Vishwajit was arrested from Kolkata when he was trying to escape to Malaysia, while Jackson was caught from Nakodar. On the basis of these arrests, hand grenades could be recovered and a major terrorist was stopped before the incident.

Revealed during interrogation- Order received from Canada DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the entire module was working on the instructions of BKI -based BKI -based mastermind Zeeshan Akhtar and Ajay Gill. The accused Vishwajeet and Jackson had acquired two hand grenades from Beas with the help of their comrades in the last week of July.

Gaurav Yadav said that one of these two grenades was exploded by other members of this module at a liquor shop in SBS Nagar about 10 days ago. This makes it clear that this network was constantly trying to spread panic in the state.

The DGP said that an FIR has been registered in the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC), Amritsar in this case. He said that the Punjab Police is fully committed to the state to root out terrorism and organized crime.
