Nia Action in Pahalgam Terror Attack: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has achieved great success in the investigation of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. The National Investigation Agency has arrested two people for helping Pakistani terrorists who carried out the Pahalgam terrorist attacks and give shelter. On Monday (June 23, 2025), the NIA produced them in the court of the Sessions Judge of Jammu for remand of these two accused.
NIA confirmed the identity of arrested people
According to the National Investigation Agency, the two people who have been arrested for helping Pakistani terrorists and giving refuge have been identified as Parvez Ahmed Jothar, resident of Battat in Pahalgam in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir and Bashir Ahmed Jotha, resident of Hill Park, Hill Park.
The accused confirmed, Lashkar-e-Taiba was involved in terrorist attack
The National Investigation Agency has also claimed that the two accused arrested have also revealed the identity of three armed terrorists involved in the Pahalgam terror attack. The accused have also confirmed that they were a Pakistani citizen associated with the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) in India.
The accused gave the terrorists to eat, live and logistics
According to the NIA investigation, Parvez and Bashir deliberately gave shelter to three armed terrorists in a seasonal dhok (hut) in Hill Park before the attack. Both people had given food, shelter and logistics aid to the terrorists, who selected 26 tourists on the basis of religious identity on the afternoon of 22 April, making it the most horrific terrorist attack ever.
The helpers of Pakistani terrorists were arrested and brought to Jammu on Sunday (June 22). Although the accused was to be produced in the special Nia court of Jammu, but due to the holidays in the court, these accused were produced in the court of a session judge.
Court sent the accused in five days NIA remand
A court official said that both the accused were produced in the court of District and Sessions Judge Ritesh Kumar Dubey, additional District and Sessions Judge of Jammu on Monday (June 23). The court has sent two accused arrested for helping the militants of Pahalgam attack and giving shelter to five days NIA till Friday (June 27).
Parvez Ahmed Jothar, a resident of Batkot, Pahalgam and Bashir Ahmed Jothar, a resident of Hill Park in Pahalgam, were arrested by the NIA on Sunday (June 22). This is the first major success in the investigation of the attack.
