New Delhi. Indian team’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will play in the Asia Cup 2025. The Asia Cup 2025 will be held in T20 format in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from 9 to 28 September. A total of 8 teams are going to participate in this tournament. Teams from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, UAE and Oman will go to play.

According to a PTI report, 31 -year -old Ahmedabad fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will play in the Asia Cup 2025 and he can be rested for the first Test match against the West Indies in early October. The first Test of the two -match Test series between India and West Indies will be played from 2 to 6 October at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

In the Asia Cup 2025, India will start its Group A campaign against the UAE in Dubai on September 10 and then on 14 September, it will take on its arch rival Pakistan at the same place. India’s third and final group A match will be held on 18 September in Abu Dhabi. Bumrah, who is India’s fifth highest wicket -taking bowler in T20I, last played a 20 -over match for India in the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup. In that match against South Africa at Kensington Oval in Barbados, Bumrah took two wickets for 18 runs in four overs. He has 89 wickets in a total of 70 matches.

Team selection on 19 or 20 August

According to PTI, Ajit Agarkar -led Selection Committee can select the Indian team for the Asia Cup on August 19 or 20, it will depend on when the Center of Excellence (COE) team sends the medical report of all the players. These players also include the report of T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav. After getting rid of injury, he has started batting on the nets in Bangalore.
