Chinese Prime Minister Lee Kiang will participate in the summit to be held on July 6-7 in place of President Jinping. According to the report, a state dinner is being organized for Prime Minister Narendra Modi during this period. It is also being speculated that the Chinese leaders are angry with the state dinner organized for Prime Minister Modi after the summit by Brazilian President Lewis Eneasio Lula Da Silva and that is why he is no longer like the schedule of BRICS Summit, which he has made a distance from the summit.

BRICS includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Korea. The group also includes five additional members Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Last year, the BRICS summit held in Kazan, Russia became important, as PM Modi and Jinping met there, causing warmth in the cool relationship for four years in bilateral relations due to the deadlock in eastern Ladakh.

Jinping will meet in SCO?

After this meeting, both sides agreed to revive bilateral talks. After the Modi-Jinping talks, both sides have held several meetings in the last few months to normalize bilateral relations. If Jinping does not attend the summit in Rio de Janeiro, then the next chance of Jinping-Modi meeting may be a SCO summit to be held in China, provided Prime Minister Modi participate in it.

The current president of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), China is planning to organize a conference in the next few months. The matter of Jinping not being involved in the Rio summit came from Brazil, where officials told the media that Beijing informed the Brazil government that Jinping’s schedule is not matching the program.

China has not yet told the plan

During media briefing on Wednesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun refused to comment on reports about Jinping’s decision and said that information about China’s absence will be provided at the BRICS summit at the right time. China’s Foreign Ministry said that China supports the chairmanship of Brazil in BRICS.
