Supreme Court told the demand for FIR haste

Last week, the Supreme Court dismissed the petition seeking an FIR against Justice Verma as “prematurely”. The apex court said that a three -member panel is investigating the case and a decision will be taken to register an FIR after the investigation is completed. The petitioners claimed that no arrest or seizure was made after the scam surfaced on 20 March.

When the fire brigade staff and police reached the spot, they found a part of a partial burnt cash in the storeroom. The incident created a stir in the legal circles, after which the CJI formed a three -member committee to conduct a detailed investigation into the incident. Justice Verma dismissed the allegations and claimed that he was being maligned.
