A case has been registered on charges of rape, Prateek Chauhan, son of former Karnataka minister Prabhu Chauhan. A young woman lodged a complaint against her at Bidar Women’s Police Station and then accused of repeatedly raping her. After this, a case of rape, intimidation and assault has been filed.
The victim alleged that her symbol was engaged on 25 December 2023, but she continuously exploited her by pretending to be married. He allegedly raped her several times in many places including Bangalore, Latur (Maharashtra) and private hotels in Shirdi.
What did the victim tell?
The victim claimed that whenever she refused to cooperate in sexual activities, Prateek threatened not to marry. The woman also told that he took her to Latur about three times and forced her every time.
The last time the two quarreled between the two, when the woman and her family went to her house to decide the wedding date. He was reportedly banned by saying that we would not marry your daughter, whatever you want. “

On the basis of the complaint of the victim, an FIR has been registered against Prateek Chauhan under Section 376 (N) (Repeated rape), 366 (kidnapping for marriage), 324 (injury) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
