Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has received a clean chit from the Lokayukta in the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam case. The Lokayukta police said that concrete evidence has not been found against 4 accused including Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvati.
Investigating officials told the complainant Snehamayi Krishna that the allegations on both of them could not be proved due to lack of evidence. A final report has been given to the High Court in this case. Apart from Siddaramaiah and his wife, his brother -in -law Mallikarjun Swamy and land owner Devraju are also accused.
On 7 February, the High Court refused to transfer the MUDA case to the CBI, giving relief to Siddaramaiah. The High Court ruled on the petition of RTI activist Snehamayi Krishna.
What is the whole matter Muda is alleged to have given priorities to many people at a low price. These include 14 sites given to Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvati in a posh area in Mysore.
These sites were given his 3.16 acres of land in Kasare village in Kasaba Hobli, Mysore. 14 sites were allocated for 3 lakh 24 thousand 700 rupees.
The ED has seized immovable properties worth Rs 300 crore of Siddaramaiah and others in this case last month.
