Karnataka CM siddaramaiah bengaluru stampede: The Karnataka government said on Thursday (June 5, 2025) that the Legislative Council member Govindraj has been freed from the post of political secretary of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah with immediate effect. Although there was no official reason for the removal of Govindraj by the government, it is believed that the decision is believed to be associated with a stampede incident outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Wednesday (June 4, 2025), killing 11 people.

According to an official notification, “K. Govindraj’s appointment as the political secretary of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is canceled with immediate effect. K. Govindraj is freed from the post of political secretary of the Chief Minister with immediate effect.”
At the same time, Siddaramaiah, in connection with the stampede incident, on Thursday (June 5, 2025), Bangalore Police Commissioner B.K. Dayanand and four other senior police officers were suspended.
There was chaos due to the spread of vague information
In fact, on Tuesday (June 3, 2025), after 18 years, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the IPL title. After this big victory of the team, there was no place for the happiness of the fans. In such a situation, an information spread among the fans that the RCB team is going to come to the Karnataka Assembly. As soon as this news spread, 2 to 3 lakh fans gathered outside the assembly.
After this, the fans got information that the Jeeta of RCB is going to be celebrated at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and the team is going to go there. Apart from this, rumors of free entry for fans in the stadium raised. After which the fans of the team ran from the assembly towards the stadium and meanwhile, there were situations like chaos.
