Karnataka High Court Verdict on Muda Allotment and Yeodiyarappa PocSo Case Siddaramaiah CBI Ann

Siddaramaiah muda case: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has got a big relief in the Mysore Urban Development Authority of Karnataka (MUDA). The Karnataka High Court has rejected the petition seeking to investigate the case by the CBI. Along with this, former CM Yeddyurappa has also been given relief in the Poxo case by the Karnataka High Court.

Justice M. Nagprasanna had already completed the hearing in this case. While giving the verdict today, he said, the documents brought in the record do not seem that there is no negligence in the investigation being done by the Lokayukta. Investigations do not even have evidence of any kind of partiality, its unilateral or wrong direction. In such a situation, there is no point in handing over the case to the CBI. Therefore the petition is dismissed.

What is the whole matter?
The matter is related to the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) in which Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is accused of illegally alloting a site to his wife. However, when there was a BJP government in Karnataka, this allotment was made to Siddaramaiah’s wife.

RTI activist Snehamayi Krishna filed a writ petition in the High Court seeking that Parvati, wife of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, B.M. The allocation of 14 sites from MUDA should be handed over to the CBI. The petition alleged that these allocation was done by violating the rules, which makes a case of misuse of government land. There is also a stir in the politics of Karnataka regarding this case. The opposition has fiercely siege the CM on this issue, although now after the decision of the High Court, CM Siddaramaiah has got some relief. Please tell that now the investigation of this matter will continue to continue even further.

Yeddyurappa is also relieved
Former CM and BJP leader Yeddyurappa is relieved in the Poxo case. The High Court has questioned the manner in which the trial court has approved the matter to run the case and has been sent to the trial court again and asked to take a decision on the basis of its discretion. The trial court can no longer summon Yeddyurappa in this case.
