Karnataka Cooperative Minister K.N. Rajanna is an MLA from Mudheere constituency in Tumkuru district.
During the budget session of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, Cooperative Minister KN Rajanna claimed that an attempt had been made to implicate him in Honey Trap. Rajanna also said that CDs and pen drives of 48 politicians have been made. He then demanded the Home Minister to get the matter investigated. Assuming this, the Home Minister has ordered a high level inquiry into the case.
In fact, during the budget session, Vijaypura MLA Basangauda Patil Yatanal said that an attempt has been made to implicate the Cooperative Minister in the state in the state. Patil said- It has become a very bad culture that public representatives are being blackmailed.
After this, Rajanna admitted to Patil and said- not only me, many people say that Karnataka CD and Pen Drive Factory has been formed. It is being said that a minister of Tumkuru is implicated in a honey trap and the minister of Tumkuru is God and I.
Rajanna said- 48 leaders of many political parties have been implicated in Honey Trap. This case is not limited to Karnataka only. It extends to the national level, which includes leaders of parties across the country. I demand from the Home Minister that it should be investigated.
Here, BJP state president BY Vijayendra said that the CBI will be the best agency to investigate the case.
Rajanna’s son said- phone-video calls coming for 6 months
Karnataka’s minister KN Rajanna’s son and MLC Rajendra Rajanna also confirmed the allegations of the attempt of Honey Trap. Rajendra said- It has been going on with me and my father for the last 6 months. We felt that this would be a normal phone call or video call, but day by day and calls have started coming. I have spoken in the assembly and requested the State Home Minister to investigate. It should be investigated.
Minister Jarkiholi confirmed allegations in government
Another minister of Karnataka, Satish Jarkiholi, also confirmed the claims of a honey trap attempt on a state minister. Jarkiholi said- it is true that it was tried, but it did not succeed. This is not the first time in Karnataka. This has been happening for the last 20 years. Congress, BJP and JDS, every party is a victim of this.
Jarkiholi said- We have demanded that a complaint be filed and investigated. We have asked the victim to come forward and file a complaint, only then it will be investigated and the truth will be revealed.
