Karnataka crime: The new acquaintance on Facebook killed a woman. A 36 -year -old woman from Hassan district was brutally murdered and the accused in this sensational case came out, but her Facebook boyfriend came out, which she was associated with just six days ago.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Preeti Sundresh, who was the mother of two children and recently met 28 -year -old youth Puneet Gowda through social media. Puneet is an engineering graduate and hails from Chitradurga district.
Murder after having a physical relationship
Puneet Preeti was brought from Hasan to Mysuru in a rented car and after going to some places he stayed in a lodge near Krishna Raj Sagar, where he had a physical relationship allegedly. Subsequently, Preeti allegedly expressed his desire to continue physical relations, but Puneet was reluctant. Police say that when they approached KR Pete, he again insisted, causing him to take him to a wild area of ​​Khatarghatta. There was a debate there, during which Puneet allegedly attacked Preity’s head. When she fell and started bleeding, she picked up a stone and hit her head, causing her death on the spot. Then he took the dead body to his village Karotigram and buried in his field.
Preeti’s husband filed a missing report
After the murder, Puneet kept the woman’s mobile with her, when Preeti’s husband lodged a report of her disappearance and the police called on the phone, Puneet replied and claimed that the woman went to catch the bus and left the phone. Local villagers suspected the farm disturbances and informed the police. Police reached the spot and recovered the body of the woman from the farm. Puneet was soon arrested.
Accused in custody questioned
Police said that the accused deliberately took the woman to the lodge and then to a deserted place and killed. Keeping the phone running, he wanted to confuse the police, but the whole matter was opened due to the vigilance and technical investigation of the villagers. At present, the accused is being questioned in custody and the body of the woman has been sent for postmortem. The police have registered a case of murder.
