A search operation is being conducted from 23 March after the news of terrorist hiding in Sanyal area of Kathua.
Operation Safian, which has been running for 4 days in Kathua district of Jammu, stayed on Sunday. Taking advantage of this, 3 terrorists hiding in the forests were seen in Rui village of Juthana. At around 7:45 pm on Sunday evening, all three of them wearing black clothes entered a house. Where he asked for food and water. After eating, he took a 13 -year -old child in the house with him. However, the child managed to escape by jumping from the hill.
The security forces surrounded the area as soon as the news of suspicious activity was received. Searching could not be done due to darkness. Terrorists will be searched in the morning.
A day earlier, the police said that the terrorists are hidden in the high hills of Jakhole within a radius of 10 km, there are also dense forests and caves. The five terrorists have been dead for 4 days with the help of local people.
The men of the house ran away after seeing the weapon
According to media reports, when the three terrorists reached Rui village, they entered the house of a man named Kartar Singh. Seeing the armed men, the family male members ran away leaving an elderly woman and a 13 -year -old boy. After this, the terrorists ate food and took the child and took them with them. However, the child managed to escape from his clutches.
2 terrorists killed in encounter on March 28, 4 soldiers also martyred
On March 28, 2 terrorists were killed during the Kathua encounter. However, during this time, Operation Group (SOG) soldiers Tariq Ahmed, Jaswant Singh, Jagbir Singh and Balwinder Singh were killed due to bullet. Three soldiers, including the injured DSP Dheeraj Singh, are undergoing treatment. According to sources, security forces were reported to be hiding about 5 terrorists. These terrorists are associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed’s proxy organization People’s Anti Fascist Front.
Union Minister announced help from MP fund to the family of martyrs
Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Sunday met the families of two martyred policemen Jaswant Singh and Balwinder Singh and announced them to give them a government job. Both the martyrs were residents of his parliamentary constituency Jammu. Jitendra also announced to help all the families up to Rs 70 lakh from the MP fund and make a memorial gate. Government job SRO will be available under provisions.
He said, “To pay tribute to the sacrifice of the martyrs, it will also be proposed to rename government schools to the name of the martyrs.” Singh was in Odisha at the time of the encounter, killing two policemen in his parliamentary constituency.
Police said- terrorists did not rob weapons, ignore rumors
The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday said that the terrorists did not take any weapon during an encounter in a two-day encounter in a remote wild area of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. A police spokesman said that all the weapons and other items of the four policemen killed have been recovered.
The spokesperson said, “Some anti-national elements are spreading rumors of snatching the weapons of our martyrs in Operation Safian on social media. These claims are false. All the weapons and goods of the martyrs have been recovered.”
Terrorists took a family hostage, but they escaped
