The Regional Transport Office of Karnataka has taken major action against businessman and leader Yusuf Sharif alias KGF Babu. A total of Rs 38 lakh has been imposed on the two luxury rolls-rois cars present with him. These trains include one rolls-rose phantom and the other Rolls-Royce Ghost. The Phantom car was earlier by actor Amitabh Bachchan, while Ghost actor Aamir Khan is being told.
According to RTO officials, both these vehicles are registered outside Karnataka. But Phantom is running on the streets of Bengaluru since 2021 and Ghost 2023. Under the Karnataka Motor Vehicles Act, if a vehicle is being used in the state for more than a year, then it is necessary to register in the state and pay road tax.
Two luxury rolls-rose cars fined Rs 38 lakh
Yusuf Sharif did not register both these vehicles in Karnataka and did not even pay the road tax. Due to this, the RTO has imposed tax and fine of Rs 38 lakh on both vehicles. This action of the RTO has been taken on violation of the rules and the discussion in the city has intensified.
Both vehicles have been running in the state for a year
Officials say that the officials have revealed that a car Phantom of Rolls-Royce was first identified in 2021 for non-payment of Karnataka Road Tax. However, it was spared at that time as it could not complete a year in Bengaluru. But now both Phantom and Ghost vehicles have been running in the city for more than one year limit, which is a violation of transport rules. For this reason, the Transport Department has imposed a heavy fine of a total of ₹ 38 lakh.
