The case of suicide of a Nepali student is getting caught in the hostel of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. In this, after the intervention of Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the Nepali Embassy has become active from the Odisha government to the police. Police said that a case has been registered against three directors of the university and two security guards on charges of misbehaving with the students.

The Odisha government has constituted a high level Fact Finding Committee to investigate the matter. In this committee, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department, Principal Secretary of Women and Child Development Department and Secretary of Higher Education Department have been made members. This committee will investigate the death of the student and then the misbehavior of the protesting students. Necessary steps have already been taken in this matter.

A student arrested on the tahrir of the cousin of the deceased

In this case, a case has been registered against an accused Advik Srivastava at the Infosity Police Station in Bhubaneswar on the Tahrir of Siddhanta Siddhal, cousin of the deceased Prakriti Lammal, under Section 108 of the Indian Justice Code. He is being questioned in custody. At the same time, a case has been registered against KIIT’s two security guards Ramakant Nayak (45) and Jogendra Behera under sections 126 (2)/296/115 (2)/3 (5) of BNS.

KIIT claims, suicide due to love affair

He said, “I sent my daughter here for higher education. We hope that the government will ensure justice. We have confidence in the government and the police administration here.
