The Congress government in Telangana has recently announced 42% reservation for backward classes (BCs), in which it has been said to give share to the Muslim community. Union Minister of Coal and Mines and Telangana BJP President G.K. Kishan Reddy has strongly opposed this decision.
He says that giving reservation on the basis of religion is completely unacceptable and unconstitutional. This step is not only against the interests of backward classes, but also promotes division in society. Kishan Reddy said that BJP has always been against religion based reservation.
Discrimination with Telangana residents
He alleged that the Congress government is cheating backward classes by giving 10% share to Muslims in 42% BC reservation. The BC community has a population of 51% in Telangana, but they are getting only 32% reservation, while 12% are planned to give 10% share to Muslim population. This is unfair and a conspiracy to snatch the rights of the BC community.
Large scale movement across the state
Reddy further said, ‘Our Constitution does not allow reservation on the basis of religion. The BJP is committed to social justice in true sense. We will ensure appropriate reservation for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and backward classes. Kishan Reddy also warned that if the Congress government does not withdraw this decision, the BJP will agitate on a large scale in the entire state.
Honest and corruption-free Bihar CM
Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy said about the Bihar assembly elections that Nitish Kumar is an honest and corruption-free Chief Minister. The people of Bihar want to see Nitish ji again as the Chief Minister. Under his leadership, Bihar has touched new heights of development.
Reddy insisted that NDA is united under the leadership of Nitish and committed to make Bihar more prosperous. He has appealed to the public to support Nitish and NDA, so that stability and progress in Bihar remains.
