Fresh nails and scratch marks have been found on the body of the main accused in the gang rape case with a student at Law College, Kolkata. These marks found in the initial medical report of doctors are the same, which were placed during the protest by the victim. Police sources have also confirmed this that the injuries found on Monojat’s body clearly indicate that the student resisted fiercely during sexual harassment.

A police officer said, “These are the fresh scratch marks, which usually take place when someone protests the attack on him.” When the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the case investigated the call detail record (CDR) of the accused, a shocking revelation was revealed. The very next day of the incident, Monojit Mishra spoke to Dr. Nayana Chatterjee, Deputy Principal of the college on the phone.

An IPS officer said, “We have questioned Dr. Nayana Chatterjee twice. His name has surfaced in call details. In the investigation, it is very important to understand what the talks were held between these two the next day after the crime. ”The SIT has collected an important evidence related to this incident. This is a CCTV footage of a medical store, from where an accused Jab Ahmed bought an inhaler for the victim.

The police has also recorded the statement of the owner of the pharmacy. According to him, Jab first tried to pay less money, but when the pharmacy refused to do so, the entire amount was transferred online. This entire activity is recorded in the record. The victim had told in her complaint that during her havoc with her, she kept pleading with the accused to go to the hospital, but she did not listen to one of her.

Finally, when his breath started to dislodge, he demanded the inhaler, which was later brought by Jab. But after this, barbarity started with him again. Investigating officers have identified 16 people, analyzing the CCTV footage of the college campus, who were present around the incident on the day of the incident i.e. on the evening of 25 June. Six of these students have been questioned. The rest of the questioning is going on.

A police officer said, “We want to know what these people saw or heard that day. We have to add strict activities before and after the incident. ”The police have confirmed that the victim’s complaint, medical examination of the accused and digital evidence found from the spot, all three are complementary to each other. This is giving a decisive direction to the investigation. On Tuesday, the police produced all the arrested accused in the court.
