Kolkata Law College Case Police Reveals Accused Drank Alcohol in College for hours after assault also also warns guard

Kolkata law college sexual assault case: Kolkata Police has made a big disclosure in the gang rape case that took place in Law College, Kolkata. Kolkata Police said on Saturday (July 5, 2025) that after sexually abusing the student at South Kolkata Law College on 25 June, the three accused had drank alcohol for several hours while sitting on the crime (in the college guard room).

Apart from this, the main accused of gang rape, Monojit Mishra, along with Pramit Mukherjee and Jab Ahmed, had also threatened to keep the college security guard silent while going to dinner.

The investigating officer told the news agency PTI, “After committing the crime, the three accused sat in the guard room and threatened to keep the security guard Pinaki Banerjee in the case.”

The officer further said, “After this, the three accused had eaten in a dhaba on the EM bypass before returning to their respective homes.”

Crime was carried out with complete planning- Kolkata Police

In this case, investigators believe that this gang rape was not a sudden incident, but it was a thought and an attack with complete planning. According to the police officer, it has also been revealed from the call detail records (CDRS) that there was several conversation between the accused before committing this crime.

The accused wandered to ask for help after executing the crime

In the investigation, it has been further revealed that the main accused Monjan also tried to seek help on the next day (26 June). On 26 June, Monasted contacted the influential person living in Deshpriya Park. Investigation revealed that this person had helped monsted earlier.

However, the official said that this time the person refused to help Monus in view of the seriousness of the crime. After refusing to help the person, Monjan also tried to ask for help from many of his mentors living in different parts of the city.

The official said, “In an attempt to meet his mentors, the monsted wandered in many parts of the city including Rasbihari, Deshpriya Park, Gariaghat, Fern Road and Balliganj station. According to mobile tower data, the monsted police station also went to meet someone near the police station.”

Police said that after carrying out the crime, the activities of monarchy understand that he was trying to hide and escape in the matter.
