Kolkata law college case: A medical report in the gang rape case with a first year student of Law College in West Bengal has revealed that the accused had forced the victim to have a sexual act. All the claims of the victim have been confirmed in the medical examination. In the investigation, evidence of teeth bites on the victim’s body, scratches of nails and forced sexual acts have been found.
Court sent the accused to police custody
The three accused involved in this crime were arrested and produced in the court, where all were sent to a four -day police custody. Taking automatic cognizance of this incident on the evening of 25 June, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has asked the Kolkata Police to file a detailed action report within three days. The college administration said that the main accused was recently appointed as a temporary non-teaching employee in the institute for a contract period of 45 days.
The accused made a video of the incident
According to the report of the news agency PTI, the police said, “The victim alleged that the three accused had kept the mobile footage of this dreadful incident with them and threatened that if they talked to anyone about the incident, they would put it on the internet.” The officer said that the mobile phones of the three accused had been confiscated and they have been sent for forensic examination.
The victim kept begging, did not agree
According to the FIR lodged on the complaint of the victim, the main accused Monojo Mishra put pressure on her. When the victim told that she had a boyfriend, the accused also threatened her to harm her and implicate her parents in false cases. The victim said, “I grabbed her legs to let me go, but they did not agree.”
BJP raised questions on law and order
The BJP has targeted the TMC government of the state regarding this matter. Union Minister and Bengal BJP President Sukant Majumdar said that the incident of gang rape with a student in a law college shows that the students in the educational institutions of the state are not safe. He alleged that despite CM Mamata Banerjee handling the work of the Home Department, the law and order situation in the state is very bad.
