Kolkata law college case: Kolkata Police has formed a five -member Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Saturday (June 28) in the gang rape case of a first year student of law. This SIT will investigate the case under the leadership of ACP Pradeep Kumar Ghoshal.
At the same time, in this case, an official has informed that on Saturday (June 28), Kolkata Police has arrested a security guard of the college. Along with this, the number of people arrested has increased to four in connection with this incident in the security guard room of the college campus.
Police arrested security guard in case
The official said, “The security guard detained for questioning was later arrested.” He said, “We have arrested the security guard this morning, because his answers were unclear. CCTV footage revealed his presence in the college. ”
The official said, “The guard failed to perform his duty and the police is trying to find out if he was alone on duty at that time.”
Security guard did not give a clear answer to any question
It is noteworthy that this terrible incident took place on the evening of Wednesday (25 June) at South Kolkata Law College. Regarding the security guard arrested in this case, an official said, “The guard did not give a clear answer as to why he did not take appropriate action and why the three accused did not stop committing the crime.” Along with this, he will also have to explain why and on whose instruction he left his room. This is also a kind of involvement in crime. ”
The victim accused allegations in written complaint
At the same time, the victim has alleged in a written complaint to the police that the security guard did not help her. The victim said that all this happened to her from around 7:30 am to 10:30 pm on the night of 25 June.
Three other accused involved in the case were arrested on Thursday (26 June). A senior Kolkata Police official said that the medical examination of the victim confirmed the gang rape.
After rejecting the marriage proposal, the incident was carried out
The 24 -year -old student went to college to fill the form for an examination and even after the completion of the work, she was forced to stay in the union room itself. It is also alleged that the alumni and the lawyer of criminal cases, after rejecting the proposal of marriage, carried out a disgusting act with the student. At the same time, two current students of the college were making videos of this act on their mobile phones.
