A painful accident in Rajasthan’s Kota late on Saturday night shook everyone. A fire broke out from a short circuit in flat number 403 of Deepshree Multi Story Building of Anantpura police station area here. In this accident, TV actress Rita Sharma’s two sons Shaurya (15) and Veer (10) died of suffocation. Veer was a TV actor and had worked in many serials and Rajasthani songs, while the elder son Shaurya was preparing for JEE and had achieved the under-100 rank.
Children were sleeping alone at night
According to Thanadikari Bhupendra Singh, the accident took place between 1:30 and 2 pm on Saturday night. At the time of the incident, father Jitendra Sharma (coaching teacher in Kota) went to Jagran and mother Rita Sharma (TV actress) was shooting in Mumbai. Both children were sleeping alone in the house. Then the short circuit caught fire in the drawing room and smoke was filled in the flat. During this time, both of them lost their lives due to suffocation.

Neighbors gave information, children were evacuated by breaking the door
Around 1:30 pm, the people living on the floor up saw smoke rising from the flat. After which he immediately called Jitendra Sharma. On reaching the spot, people tried to break the door. On entering inside, the elder son Shaurya fell near the bathroom, while the younger son was lying on the floor of the Veer Drawing Room. Both were immediately rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead.
Father said – till now children were interviewed, today news of death was made
After losing both his sons, it was difficult to describe the pain of father Jitendra Sharma in words. He said – “My children used to have interviews till now, but today the news of his death is being made. The younger son Veer was going to shoot the film in Mumbai after four days and the elder son was counted among the coaching toppers.”
Veer played the character of ‘Bharat’, was also going to get work in the film
According to the information, 10 -year -old Veer had played the role of Bharat in the TV serial “Srimad Ramayana”. Apart from this, he also acted in many TV shows and Rajasthani songs. Veer was about to play his childhood role in Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming film.
Expressed desire for I donation
SP Tejaswini Gautam said that the entire furniture of the drawing room of the flat was burnt and fire marks were also found in other parts of the house. He said that the help of experts is being taken to investigate the accident. Also, fire safety will be tested in all the multi -story buildings of the city and action will be taken wherever fire NOC is not available.
Father Jitendra Sharma has expressed his desire to donate the eyes of both his sons.
Neighbors said – Children tried to get out, but got stuck in smoke
Rakesh Gupta, a neighbor living on the eighth floor, said that when people returned from Jagran, it was reported that smoke is coming out of the Sharma family’s flat. Everyone ran and broke the gate. The sofa and furniture of the drawing room were burnt. The children had tried to get out, but due to the smoke they could not come out.
After the postmortem mother arrived
TV actress Rita Sharma was in Mumbai at the time of the accident. She reached Kota as soon as the information was received. It was only after his arrival that the postmortem of both the children was done and the body was handed over to the family members. Investigation revealed that the short circuit was held in the plug board of the flat, causing a big accident and a big accident.
