A terrorist killed in Kulgam has been identified as Haris Nazir Dar, associated with Lashkar. A picture of his body came out.
Sunday is the third day to search for terrorists in Akhhal forest of Kulgam in Jammu and Kashmir. There is still a possibility of hiding of 2 terrorists here. According to reports, a terrorist is injured.
After the search operation, which started from the night of 1 August, on Saturday, 2 terrorists were killed by security forces. A terrorist was identified as Harice Nazir Dar of Pulwama.
The C-Category terrorist Haris was in the list of 14 local terrorists whose names were released by intelligence agencies on 26 April after the Pahalgam attack. AK-47 rifle, magazine-grainade and ammunition were recovered from him.
An army personnel were also injured during the encounter, who is undergoing treatment at 92 Base Hospital Refer in Srinagar. Special Operation Group, Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army and CRPF are carrying out ‘Operation Akhhal’. Hi -tech surveillance system is being used to search for terrorists.
The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army had informed about the death of a terrorist on Saturday morning.
Terrorists fired during search operation in Kulgam
On Saturday, an official said that a search operation was started on Friday evening after receiving secret information about terrorist activity in the area. During this time the terrorists started firing on security forces, after which the encounter started.
Information about how many terrorists are hidden in the forest have not been revealed yet. To carry out the operation, more security forces have been sent to the area.
This is the third encounter of this week in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, on July 28, security forces had killed 3 terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack in Lidwas forests under Operation Mahadev.
On 31 July, two more terrorists were killed during the Loc in Poonch during the infiltration.
A large number of security forces have been deployed amid encounters in Kulgam.
7 killed in 14 local terrorists, now searching 7 Of the 14 terrorists who had released the list of security forces, 7 have been killed so far. Except Haris Nazir, the remaining 6 terrorists in May Shopian and Pulwama were killed during an encounter.
The names of the terrorists who were piled on 13 May in Shopian were Shahid Kutte, Adnan Shafi, Ahsan ul Haq Sheikh. On May 15, Aamir Nazir Wani, Yawar Ahmed Bhat and Asif Ahmed Sheikh were killed in the Pulwama encounter.
On July 28, 3 terrorists, including the mastermind of the Pahalgam attack, killed Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed about Operation Mahadev’s next day, on July 29, the death of the terrorists of Pahalgam attack. He said that he was killed on 28 July. His names are Suleman, Afghan and Gibran. All three terrorists were involved in the Pahalgam attack.
