A doctor has been arrested on Saturday in the case of the death of a 25 -year -old woman and her newborn child in Khadda area of Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh. A police officer gave this information to a news agency. Officials said the accused Dr. Mohammad Saeed has been arrested on charges of medical negligence and the private hospital in which he was working has been sealed.
Sub Divisional Magistrate (Khadda) Mohammad Zafar said that 25-year-old woman Asma Khatoon wife Sikander and her newborn died during treatment at Vibhant Hospital located at Maharana Pratap Chowk on Khadda-Nabua road in Khadda town. After the deaths, the distressed family protested outside the hospital and put the bodies outside the gate.

After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and pacified the family. The SDM said that we have sealed the hospital and arrested the accused doctor. The hospital was running illegally. According to the police, Asma, a resident of Rampur Jungle village of Hanumanganj police station area, was brought to Vibhant Hospital on Friday night due to childbirth.
Family members said that he underwent operation in the hospital at around 11 pm. Initially, doctors said that the operation was successful and both mother and child are healthy. However, soon the employees of the hospital started making excuses. The family alleged that doctors asked for money and asked the district hospital to arrange blood.
Police said that when Asma’s condition started deteriorating, the hospital management advised the family to take her to Gorakhpur Medical College. The family accused Dr. Syed, who described himself as the physician of the hospital, he assured him that both the mother-child were alive.
However, when the family suspected, Dr. Syed tried to escape by sitting in his car. After which the family immediately informed the police. After which he was taken into custody. SDM Zafar said that during investigation, it has been found that Vibhant Hospital was running without any registration. Further investigation is on. Khadda SHO Harshvardhan Singh confirmed that a case has been registered against Dr. Syed under the relevant sections and he has been arrested.
