The continuous rains in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district have exposed the preparations for the district administration and health department. Sadar Hospital in the district, which is located in front of the residence of the right Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, has created a situation of heavy water logging.
Water filled in hospital premises
The hospital premises are filled with water that patients and their families have to reach OPD by walking in water to the knees for treatment. Water is stored around the hospital premises and the dirty water of outside drains has also entered inside the hospital. Due to this, not only the patients but also doctors and health workers are facing a lot of trouble. People say that the hospital complex has now become a pond.
Local people and hospital personnel said that lakhs of rupees have been spent in the name of fixing the drainage system, but the result is zero. The situation is that the hospital which is made for the treatment and safety of the people has become the center of diseases itself.
Patients made serious allegations
The relatives of the patients say that when the sick person is not safe in the hospital, then where should he go? He has demanded from the district administration and the government that this serious problem should be resolved permanently so that patients and their families do not have to face this type of situation in the coming days.
On receiving the information of this incident, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has instructed the officials to improve the drainage system immediately. He has said that effective steps should be taken to ensure that such a situation should not happen in future. This situation of water logging not only highlights administrative negligence, but also threatens the safety and health of the general public.
