During the meeting of the National Council of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Saturday in Patna, the capital of Bihar, the party’s founder Lalu Prasad Yadav was once again unanimously elected as the National President. The 28th anniversary of the party was also celebrated on this occasion. In the year 1997, Lalu Prasad laid the foundation of RJD after separating from the Janata Dal.
78 -year -old Lalu Yadav became RJD president again
According to the report of the news agency, 78 -year -old Lalu Yadav said that a survey is being conducted in view of Bihar assembly elections, through which qualified candidates are being identified. He said, “I will take the final decision after consultation with Tejashwi.”
He called upon the workers not to leave any stone unturned to win Tejashwi Yadav. He said, ‘I have entrusted the responsibility to Tejashwi, it is the duty of all of you to give him full strength and give him victory.’
Lalu Yadav looked very happy with his son Tejashwi’s activism and hard work. He said, ‘Tejashwi is constantly visiting, I get information about her programs many times when he returns.’ He also thanked wife Rabri Devi and said that when I had to leave the post of Chief Minister in the fodder scam, Rabri worked courageously and took over the party and the government.
Lalu, referring to his poor health, said, ‘Now I am not able to be very active, but I will do whatever can be made for the party. For me, the service of workers is at the top. Lalu Yadav told the workers outside Bihar to contribute to strengthening the party in the upcoming elections. RJD is now moving towards the 2025 assembly elections with complete preparation, where the party is going to enter the field by making Tejashwi the main face.
