Another big syndicate of conversion has been revealed in Agra. DGP Rajiv Krishna said that the Agra Police has arrested 10 people involved in illegal conversion by raiding six states. This racket used to forcibly convert minor girls in ‘Love Jihad’.
The way of working of this gang matches the methods of terrorist organization ISIS. In the investigation, its wires have also been found associated with SDPI and Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.
Gang net spread in six states
According to Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar, the clue of this racket was found during the investigation of the disappearance of two sisters in March. With the help of cyber cell, it was found that the wires of the gang are connected to six states of the country. After this, 50 -member teams of police were sent to several states including Goa, from where a total of 10 accused were arrested. Everyone’s roles were different- some used to provide legal help and some used to arrange new mobile phones and safe houses.
The gang has been converted to hundreds
So far this gang has converted hundreds of people. Investigation revealed that their different modules used to work- one group used to raise funding, the other used to radicize people and third used to arrange them to hide them. A picture of a victim involved in the arrested accused has also surfaced, in which she is seen with AK-47 after conversion and fundamentalism.
Evidence of funding from America, Canada and Dubai
This racket has also found evidence of funding from America, Canada and Dubai. The police suspect that this syndicate can be connection with PFI and SDPI as well as terrorist organizations in Pakistan. The mastermind of the gang has been arrested. The police is now looking for the rest of the members associated with this network and more arrests may be made soon.
