Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a high-level review meeting with senior officials of the government level late Wednesday evening to ensure law and order, cordial environment and public facilities in view of the upcoming festivals. In the meeting, there was a large dialogue with all the police commissioners, Mandalayas, District Magistrates and Senior Police Superintendents of the state, in which the Chief Minister gave clear instructions that all events should be done with reverence, security and harmony, for this the administrative machinery will have to work with full sensitivity and vigilance.

The Chief Minister said that from July 11 to August 9, the holy Shravan month will be there, during which festivals like traditional Kavad Yatra, Shravani Shivaratri, Nagpanchami and Rakshabandhan will be celebrated. During the same period, Jagannath Rath Yatra from 27 June to 8 July and Moharram organizing from 27 June to 6-7 July is likely. At present, the state’s law and order, medical, cleanliness, education and disaster management is extremely sensitive. Therefore, all concerned departments and district administration should work responsibly with coordination.

The Chief Minister gave special instructions regarding the peaceful and dignified event of the Kanwar Yatra. He said that this journey is a symbol of faith, discipline and gaiety. Districts like Ghaziabad, Meerut, Bareilly, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Kashi, Barabanki and Basti should be special vigilance. Inter -state coordination should remain constant. The voice of DJ, Dhol-Tasha and music on the journey route should be according to the prescribed standards. Through the voice, inflammatory slogans, and the route changes other than the tradition will not be acceptable in any condition. The height of the DJ used in Tajiya, Rath or Kavad Yatra should also not exceed the fixed limit. He said in a strict tone that it would not be acceptable to cut trees for a procession, remove slums or to desolate the shelter of the poor.

The repair of shabby electric poles and hanging wires should be completed immediately. The centers should be verified by verifying the camping institutions.

Deciding the price of food items on the Kavad Yatra route, the complaints of overrowing have been asked to stop. This process should be transparent, inclusive and corresponding to local requirements. The District Magistrate should ensure that this work is easily and effectively.
