A leopard attack caused panic in the Dhaurahra range of North Kheri Forest Division of Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh. 35 -year -old Mihilal, a resident of Baburi village, was attacked by a leopard and tried to pull towards the farm. Meanwhile, Mihilal, while showing bravery, clashed with the leopard and grabbed his neck. The video of this incident is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which Mihillal is struggling by holding the leopard and the villagers are seen throwing bricks and stones at it to save their lives.
According to the agency, the leopard was somehow driven away with the help of the villagers, but during this time he became even more aggressive and injured many villagers, a forest worker and a policeman before flee. During this time, the forest department team reached the spot and tranquified the leopard and controlled it. The leopard was then taken to the Dhaurahra range headquarters, where his health test is being done.

Dudhwa Buffer Zone Deputy Field Director Saurish Sahai said that the leopard is currently unconscious and after coming to his senses, his condition will be assessed. All the injured are admitted in the district hospital and are now being told out of danger.
On the same day, in another incident, forest officials rescued another leopard in Jatpurwa village of Shardnagar area, which was trembling in a sick condition. On the information of the passers -by, he was taken and sent for medical examination. The condition of both leopards is being evaluated by Wildlife Physicians of Dudhwa and further action will be taken on the basis of the results of the test. This incident has once again revealed the seriousness of human-wildlife struggle. The forest department has appealed to the local people to be vigilant and immediately inform about the presence of any wild animal.
