The dead body in a blue drum found 36 hours ago in Sherpur area of Ludhiana, Punjab, created a sensation. The police has now exposed this mysterious murder. Four people including a woman accused in this case have been arrested. The accused include two minor boys. A case has been registered against all these under the relevant sections of the Indian Code.
According to the information, the deceased has been identified as Manoj alias Raju, a resident of Bharti Colony Gali No. 5 of Ludhiana. His body was found in a blue drum, which was thrown into an empty plot. Seeing the condition of his body, it was guessed that the murder had been done in a very cruel way. The police started investigating the matter by sending the body for postmortem.
Alcohol was intoxicated
Police investigation revealed that all the accused were intoxicated on the night of the incident. In the same condition, the accused started fighting with Manoj. During this time he was seriously injured. He fell unconscious and fell on the ground. After some time, he died on the spot. After this, the accused got horrified. Let Manoj’s body remain in his room that night.
Dead body put in blue drum after death
After this, seeing the opportunity to get a chance the next morning, the accused tied Manoj’s body with a rope and packed it in a blue drum. Through the e-rickshaw, the blue drum was thrown into a deserted empty plot in Sherpur. People informed the police about the blue drum. When the police reached the spot, when the drum opened, the corpse came out of it. The police took the corpse and sent it for postmortem.

After this, a police team was formed under the leadership of police officer Karanvir Singh to investigate the case. The police registered a case of murder against unknown people. In the investigation, the help of cameras of Safe City Project was taken. On scrutinizing the footage, the police caught sight of an e-rickshaw, in which some people were seen carrying heavy blue drums. The police took the e-rickshaw driver Rohit into custody.
E-rickshaw driver opened the accused
In the police interrogation, he revealed the entire case. Based on the information given by him, the police registered a case against 6 accused. Of these, Fagu Prasad, Usha Devi, Neeraj Kumar and Situ Kumar have been arrested. Two other accused are Jayveer and Vishal are minors. Action is being taken to produce them in the court concerned under the Juvenile Justice Act.
Police investigating the case from every angle
The four accused have been produced in court and taken on police remand. The police is trying to find out what was the real reason behind the murder. So far, the matter of quarrel is coming out, but the police team is investigating this case from every possible angle. Police say that all the accused are being questioned to get to the bottom of this murder.
