Meta and Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg of Meta is not only in discussion due to his aggressive AI talent hiring, but also due to its Pelo Alto property investment. According to the New York Times report, Zuckerberg has made assets worth about $ 110 million (more than Rs 900 crore) in Pelo Alto’s Cressant Park area.
They acquired about 11 houses, seeing that the neighbors expressed concern that the presence of the billionaire is disturbing the peace of the area and affecting the availability of houses. Local resident Michael Kashanik said, “No neighborhood wants to be completely occupied, but this has happened.”
Zuckerberg’s property expansion
Mark Zuckerberg came to Cressant Park 14 years ago with his wife Prisla Chan and three daughters. He converted five houses into a wide compound. His main residence includes the Main House, Guest House, Garden, Hydrophlore-Card Swimming Pool, Picalball Court and his wife Chan with a seven-foot-high silver rob statue. Apart from this, he has also made security arrangements on a large scale.
Complaints of Zuckerberg’s neighbors
The biggest problem of neighbors is the construction work and noise that has been going on for years. Building permits suggest that Zuckerberg has created a 7,000 sq ft underground area, which neighbors have called “bunkers” or “bat kev”. Constant construction work, heavy machinery and traffic have increased the concern of neighbors. Local Council member Greir Stone criticized Zuckerberg, saying, “They are looking for our local law and joning rules. We should never make such a gate, golden city where people do not know their neighbors.”
Crescent park changing at the arrival of Zuckerberg
Cressant Park has long been home to Stanford’s professors, doctors and tech executives. Here, block party, children’s game and community spirit were strong here. Now many people say that that feeling is over. Kashanik said, “Billions make their own rules everywhere. Zuckerberg and Chan are our neighbors, so it is particularly impressing us.”
