According to the Uttar Pradesh government, 1.53 crore people took a holy dip by 8 pm on the last day on Wednesday. The government said that from January 13, 66.3 crore people have come to Prayagraj, this number is more than the population of all countries except China and India.

Before the commencement of Mahakumbh, the UP government had estimated 40-45 crore devotees to arrive in Kumbh, because in the year 2019, 24 crore people took a dip in the confluence in Ardh Kumbh. 30 crore devotees reached Mahakumbh by train

The saints of the Akhara participated in three of the total six ‘baths’, known as Amrit Snan – Makar Sankranti (14 January), Mouni Amavasya (29 January) and Basant Panchami (3 February). Although it was not a nectar bath, the Mahashivaratri bath was the last of a total of six ‘baths’, the other two Paush Purnima (13 January) and Maghi Purnima (11-12 February). Reports claimed that more than 30 crore devotees reached Mahakumbh by train to take a dip in the Sangam. Along with this, delegates from 73 countries and 50 lakh foreign nationals also took a dip in Mahakumbh.
