Mahakumbh: Since the stampede that took place just before the second royal bath on Mauni Amavasya in Prayagraj Mahakumbh, Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand has been continuously demanding the resignation of UP CM Yogi Adityanath. Now when he was asked who would like to see Yogi when he would like to see him becoming CM, he replied in a fun way. He said that if he had been the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he would have done this work but at the moment this work is not his. Hearing this answer, the people present nearby also laughed fiercely.
In a conversation with ‘Live Hindustan’, Swami Avimukteshwaranand said, ‘If he had been the BJP president, he would see what options could be there. Right now this work is not ours. Our job is, which has caused a mess to remove it and ask to bring a good. Now they (BJP) people know who is good. Those people deal with them day and night, know their nature and abilities, then they should decide.
‘Was asking for resignation for Kumbh’
Swami Avimukteshwarananda also answered the question of Yogi’s resignation during Mahakumbh. He said, ‘Look, if we had asked for resignation after Kumbh, what would it have been? We were asking for resignation for Kumbh. We were saying that more baths are yet to be done, many people are going to come and in such a situation, if there is an incident again, then this (CM Yogi) will continue to do the same. It should not happen, there should be no injustice to the public, so we were asking for their resignation. After the Aquarius passed, what should we do with his resignation. We just wanted the remaining Kumbh to be well done and during this time there should be no work like lies and tip.
