‘Mahatma used to hate Gandhi as much as …’, PM Modi praised the RSS, Owaisi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave his speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort on Friday (August 15, 2025) on the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day. During the speech, PM Modi mentioned the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and praised him, on which AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi Bifir went to Bifar. They have called it an insult to the freedom struggle of the country.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) head and Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad, Asaduddin Owaisi, posted a post on social media platform X on Friday (August 15, 2025). Owaisi has expressed displeasure over the praise of the RSS in PM Modi’s speech in his post.

He said, “It is an insult to the freedom struggle to glorify the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in the Independence Day speech. The RSS and its ideological partners worked as soldiers of the British rule. He never participated in the freedom struggle and he hated Mahatma Gandhi as much as he never opposed the British.”

Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Happy Independence Day to all. Prime Minister Modi has once again reminded us why it is necessary to know the real history and respect true heroes. If we do not do this, the day is not far when the cowardice will be sold as the biggest form of bravery. Were.”

He said, “The ideology of Hindutva believes in boycott and it is completely opposite to the real values of our Constitution. Narendra Modi could go to Nagpur and praise the RSS as a volunteer, but why did he have to do this from the Red Fort as a Prime Minister?” He said, “China is still our biggest external threat, but even a bigger danger is present inside and it is the same hatred and partition that spreads the Sangh Parivar. We have to defeat all such forces for true defense of our freedom.”
