Mahua Moitra is a TMC MP from Krishnanagar Lok Sabha seat in West Bengal.
TMC MP Mahua Moitra has taunted PM Modi and wrote that it was a little late to call mother Kali for Bengali votes. She does not eat dhokla, nor will she ever eat.
This statement came on Friday a day after PM Modi’s rally held in Durgapur, West Bengal. Actually, the PM cheered the names of mother Kali and Durga during the rally.
Mahua has targeted this cheer on X. This is because PM Modi is from Gujarat, and Dhokla is a famous dish there. While Maa Kali and Durga are symbols of Bangla culture.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said in Durgapur, West Bengal on Friday- TMC in Bengal promoted infiltration for its selfishness. Ecosystem is being made for this. This is a threat to state-country and Bangla culture. PM Modi also laid the foundation stone and inauguration of projects costing more than Rs 5000 crore in Durgapur.
