Mahua’s political journey
Born on 12 October 1974 in Assam, Mahua started her career as an investment banker. His entry in politics was made through the Indian Youth Congress, but in 2010 he joined Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress. She reached Lok Sabha for the first time in 2019 and won again in 2024.
In 2023, Mahua’s name came up in a major controversy, when he was accused of allegedly asking for the industrialist Darshan Hiranandani to ask questions in Parliament by taking gifts and cash. Due to this, he was also expelled from Parliament. But in 2024, the public again chose him and he once again returned to Parliament.
Pinaki’s long experience of politics
Born on 23 October 1959 in Puri, Odisha, Pinaki Mishra is a senior advocate and a four -time MP. Honors in history from St. Stephen’s College and Pinaki, who studied law from Delhi University, won the election for the first time on a Congress ticket in 1996. Later he joined the Biju Janata Dal and was elected from Puri in the 2009, 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
