In fact, Nilambur by -election Mamata Banerjee also got a good opportunity because she is an assembly constituency of the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat – and the people there also supported the Congress in a situation when Rahul Gandhi lost the election to Amethi, and now her sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra represents Wayanad in the Lok Sabha.
All the prominent UDF leaders, including senior Congress leader and former Defense Minister AK Antony, are seeing a clear glimpse of the Congress victory in Nilambur in Kerala. PV Anwar has been an MLA from Nilambur twice on LDF ticket. In 2016, PV Anwar won the election by defeating the Congress’s Ardhyan Shaukat, but this time he got defeated. Mamata Banerjee had high expectations from PV Anwar, and that is why the party’s command was handed over in Kerala as soon as he came to TMC in January 2025.

PV Anwar’s family has been associated with the Congress, and that too has reached the Trinamool Congress after the Congress, the Indian Union Muslim League and the Left. Once he has tried himself by forming his party, but success was not achieved.
