The ashes of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh were brought to the Gurudwara located at Majnu Ka Tila in Delhi on Sunday. However, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa alleged that no Congress leader was present during the immersion of the ashes of Dr. Manmohan Singh. While talking to Aaj Tak, he said, ‘Dr. It was very disappointing to see the absence of Gandhi family and Congress leaders during the immersion of the sacred ashes of Manmohan Singh ji. A leader who served the country with honor deserved better respect than his own party. This tells a lot about the priorities of Congress and the Gandhi family.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh died on 26 December at Delhi AIIMS due to age related problems. He was 92 years old. His last rites were performed on 28 December at Nigambodh Ghat in New Delhi. Leaders across India and the world expressed grief over the demise of Manmohan Singh. The central government announced seven days of national mourning on the death of the former Prime Minister. Meanwhile, Congress leaders accused the Central Government and BJP of insulting Manmohan Singh. He said that despite Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge writing a letter requesting him, the BJP government did not allot land in Delhi to build a memorial of Manmohan Singh. Congress’s demand was that Manmohan Singh’s last rites should be performed at the same place where his memorial could be built.

BJP national president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda accused the Congress party of ‘politicizing’ the death of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and indulging in ‘petty politics’. He alleged that when Manmohan Singh was on the post of Prime Minister, the Congress Party never showed respect towards him. The BJP president said that the Union Home Minister has written a letter to Kharge and Dr. Singh’s family ensuring that the government will build a memorial of the former Prime Minister in the national capital. For this, a trust has to be formed, the formalities of which will take time. Therefore, Congress and Dr. Singh’s family were requested to complete all the funeral procedures within the stipulated time.

However, BJP President JP Nadda said on Saturday that space had been allotted for Dr Singh’s memorial. His family has also been informed about this. However, Nadda did not tell where the land was given. Nadda said- Leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge are doing politics even on the death of Manmohan Singh. Congress never honored Manmohan Singh while he was alive, and is now doing politics in the name of his honour.
