Then someone told him about Nangal Thakaran village. Here he met Jhumman Chaudhary. Then he brought Manoj Kumar here. At that time too, there were paddy, wheat and mustard fields in the village far and wide and even today this view is very visible. Manoj Kumar also liked this village very much. Mahendra Singh is the owner of this house at this time. At that time Manoj Kumar took permission from his grandfather to shoot in his house. At that time, Mahendra Singh was 14 years old. Today, after remembering those days, Mahendra Singh says, ‘The shooting of the film was going on in this house day and night for one and a half months and two months. This film, which came in 1967, was written by Manoj Kumar and he directed it. This is the story of two brothers. One of these India was played by Manoj Kumar. The second brother Puran whose character was played by Prem Chopra. Both brothers choose different avenues of life. India, even after being educated, does farming in the village and wants to live in the city. This film was made by Manoj Kumar on the advice of the then Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.
