Marco: India’s ‘most violent film’ wins the hearts of Hindi audience, creates chaos between Pushpa 2-Baby John – Marco India’s most violent film wins over Hindi audience amid Pushpa 2 tsunami grows big on box office tmovs

While Varun Dhawan’s Bollywood film ‘Baby John’ is struggling badly amidst the tsunami of ‘Pushpa 2’, the story of a new Hindi film is surprising the theatres. Interestingly, this film has also come from the South, but not from the Tamil, Telugu or Kannada industries which are trying hard at the Hindi box office. This film has come from Malayalam industry which is considered small in size and its name is ‘Marco’.

In the promotions of Malayalam star Unni Mukundan starrer ‘Marco’, it is being described as the most violent film of Indian cinema. The amazing thing is that ‘Marco’ was released in theaters on 20th December. This film has not only made its place in the Hindi film market, beating the edge of ‘Pushpa 2’, but has also competed with Bollywood’s Christmas release ‘Baby John’. Facing such challenges since last 10 days, ‘Marco’ has started getting its share of audience and now it is showing its magic in theatres.

‘Marco’ is winning hearts of Hindi audience
Malayalam film industry’s film ‘Marco’, popular for its beautiful natural visuals, human relationships and intelligent cinema, is being promoted as the most violent film of Indian cinema. According to a report by Manorama, a viewer said, ‘The woman sitting next to me vomited on me because she was not able to tolerate such violent scenes on the screen.’ All the reviews and reports say that the level of blood and flesh and blood in ‘Marco’ is ultimate and it is many levels above every film that has come till now.

This film of director Hanif Adeni was released 11 days ago in Malayalam and Hindi versions. When ‘Marco’ reached theaters in Hindi, Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ was storming the box office. In such a situation, this film got a chance to release only on a select number of 89 screens. The net Hindi collection of the Hindi version of ‘Marco’ on the first day was Rs 1 lakh. But the public is getting so impressed with this film that its word of mouth is spreading rapidly. Fans are continuously demanding to increase its shows in Hindi on social media.

The effect of this demand is that this film, which was released on 89 screens on the first day, is now running on 500 screens. This film, which collected Rs 1 lakh on the first day, collected a total net collection of Rs 1.49 crore last weekend, i.e. including its 8th, 9th and 10th day at the box office. ‘Marco’, which was released on a limited number of screens and earned Rs 1 lakh on the first day, has so far collected a net collection of more than Rs 2.4 crore in Hindi.

Has also left ‘Pushpa 2’ behind
Allu Arjun’s fan following is very strong in Kerala. Fans call him Chetta, which means elder brother. The record of Arjun’s films is as strong in Kerala as that of the stars of Malayalam cinema, the domestic industry of Kerala itself. That’s why he has also been given the nickname ‘Mallu Arjun’. But impressing the Malayali audience, which watches great content of Malayalam cinema, has been a big challenge for films from other industries.

‘Pushpa 2’ also did not receive much praise from the Malayali audience. Allu Arjun’s all-time blockbuster film has been able to make a gross collection of only Rs 18 crore in Kerala after 26 days. Whereas ‘Marco’, which was released before such a big film, has made a gross collection of more than Rs 25 crore in Kerala. Made with a budget of Rs 30 crore, this film has collected more than Rs 43 crore gross in India and is going to be released in Telugu and Tamil soon.

Last year, Ranbir Kapoor’s blockbuster film ‘Animal’ had staked claim to get the tag of the most violent film. But this year’s Lakshya starrer ‘Kill’ left it behind and now ‘Marco’ deserves this tag. Let’s see what else ‘Marco’ does in the coming days.
