Maruti ciaz discontinued: The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki’s passenger vehicle portfolio is the most strong. The company’s portfolio includes entry level Alto hatchback to Maruti Suzuki Invick (based on Innova High Cross) as the most expensive car. One of these cars was ‘Maruti Ciaz’, whose journey has now stopped. The company has officially confirmed to stop the sale of this car.
On the status of Maruti Ciaz India Today Responding to a question of, Maruti Suzuki’s Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales Partho Banerjee said, “From time to time, we keep changing our product portfolio based on market needs and customers’ feedback.” Banerjee said, “Our product planning team continues to work on the basis of market needs. When a brand is very strong, its form can change from time to time.”
Referring to Baleno, he said that it was earlier in Maruti’s portfolio as a sedan (1999-2007). He said, “We launched the Baleno again in 2015, but in the hatchback body style. The brand is like a soul, but the size of the vehicle varies on the basis of market needs.”
Why Maruti Ciaz closed:
The biggest reason behind the closure of Maruti Ciaz was its declining demand. In the last March, the company barely sold 676 units of it. At the same time, only 590 units were sold in March of last year. A total of 10,337 units were sold in the financial year 23-24 while 8,402 units of this sedan car were sold in the previous financial year (FY 2024-25). The most prominent reason for the closure of this car is continuous decreasing demand.
