Maulana arshad madani in sc: The petitions filed related to the Placese of Vership Act were heard before the Chief Justice (CJI) in the Supreme Court on Tuesday (February 18, 2025). During this time, CJI, keeping the stay given in the last hearing, refused to issue notice on new petitions. According to the order of the Chief Justice, now a bench of three judges will hear the matter in the first week of April.
Five new petitions were produced for hearing against this law, but the court refused to issue notice on them. However, the lawyers requested the court to accept all the petitions filed so far for hearing, but the court said that anything has a limit and this limit is to be decided by the court, so the petitions on which the first notice Not issued, notice will no longer be issued on them, but they will be allowed to file an application as a party.
‘This sensitive and important case’
Expressing satisfaction with the legal action, Maulana Arshad Madani, president of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, said that the decision to maintain the stay is very important, as it will stop the excitement of communal forces. Maulana Madani said that this is a very sensitive and important matter, because only by the maintaining this law, the unity and brotherhood of the country can remain safe.
Madani further said that the communal forces have once again revealed their fierce intentions and the situation has worsened due to the irresponsible decisions given by the lower courts in such cases.
Maulana Madani also spoke on the decision of Babri Masjid
Maulana Madani said that we had accepted the decision in the Babri Masjid case with a heavy heart, thinking that there will be no dispute of the temple-mosque and there will be an atmosphere of peace and brotherhood in the country, but our faith proved wrong. With the silent acceptance of the ruling parties, the communal forces got an opportunity to be activated again and they targeted our prayers at many places, bypassing the supremacy of the Constitution and the law.
‘Mosque, cemetery, Idgah or Imambara will not be safe’
Maulana Madani said that the way a clear and stringent law was existing for the protection of Ibadatgas, all this was done and the central government remained only a mute spectator, it is a dangerous sign that if this law is over, then in the country No mosque, cemetery, Idgah or Imambara will be safe. He warned that communal elements will continue to raise controversy by claiming to be a temple everywhere.
‘People sitting in power are silent’
Maulana Madani said that this serious situation has put all the justice -loving citizens across the country in deep concern, but the people in power are silent as if this is not an issue for them. He finally said that our last hope is the judiciary. We have achieved justice in many big cases through our legal battle, so we are confident that justice will win in this important matter too.
