MG Select is preparing to launch MG Cyberster EV in India in January 2025. This model, which will be imported in limited numbers, has been teased before its launch. In the video, the upcoming electric sports car is seen running at high speed on the track. MG Cyberster EV will be the first electric car in the country, whose doors open upwards. MG Motor has revealed that the EV will have an aerodynamic camback design with a rear five link independent suspension with front double wishbones. The USP of the Cyberster electric sports car is its power, as the company claims that the EV can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. It also claims to have a range of 580 kilometers on a single charge.

MG Select has shared a video ahead of the January launch of Cyberster EV, in which the EV is seen running on the track. MG has said that the upcoming electric sports car will generate 510 PS of power and 725 Nm of peak torque. The EV will have an aerodynamic camback design with front double wishbone and rear five link independent suspension. For safety, it will have dual radar sensor and anti-pinch mechanism. The open-top sports car measures 4,533 mm in length, 1,912 mm in width and 1,328 mm in height. It is reported that its wheelbase is 2,689 mm.

The car will be sold through MG’s Select premium luxury retail channel. Till now the company has not given any hint regarding the price of the upcoming car, but it is likely to come in India at a price of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom). It is expected to come in CBU (Completely Built Up) form, the impact of which can also be seen on the price.

MG has given two battery pack and motor options in this car. The entry-level model gets a single 308 hp rear axle-mounted electric motor with a 64kWh battery pack, with a claimed range of 520 km. It will also get a larger 77kWh battery pack along with two electric motors that jointly produce 535hp and 725Nm of peak torque. Its claimed range is 580 km. Not only this, MG has claimed that the top-end variant can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds.

Inside the Cyberster, the cabin features three screens for the instrument cluster, which includes a vertical infotainment system that has been specially designed and fitted to provide a good view to the driver. The car includes wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a built-in 5G SIM, connected car features, wireless charging, dual zone climate control, ventilated seats, various driving modes, a premium Bose audio system and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip .
