Thousands of users of Microsoft 365 faced problems last night. Many people reported problems especially with Outlook email. Microsoft Outlook of thousands of users around the world came to a standstill due to outage. However, the company confirmed that the problem has been resolved and investigation is being done why this happened.
In the social media post on Sunday night, Microsoft said that the company said that we are reviewing the logs provided by the telemetry and customer to understand the effect. We have confirmed that this problem is affecting Microsoft 365 services.
Shortly after, adding the statement to the thread, Microsoft 365 said, “We have identified the potential cause of the effect and returned the suspicious code to reduce the effect.”
The company further said that our telemetry shows that most of the affected services are recovering after our change. We will continue to monitor until its impact on all services is over.

Thousands of users have trouble
According to the website DowndeTector, which tracks the online outage, about 37 thousand users in the US informed about being unable to access outlook during the outage. While Microsoft has assured users that services are stabilizing, it continues to monitor the situation to prevent further impact.
