In Motihari, Bihar, the cyber police station once again took a major action and tightened the infamous ‘Boss Gang’. This time the police have arrested two other cyber thugs including the mastermind of the gang. Members of this gang used to collect big money by intimidating people through dark web and fake ‘digital arrest’.
During the raid, the police have recovered Rs 10 lakh 30 thousand cash, note counting machine, dozens of bank passbooks, ATM cards, check books, PAN cards, a rifle, a pistol and huge quantities of cartridges. Among the arrested accused, the Havildar Pankaj Pandey of the 47th Battalion of SSB is also included.
Cyber DSP Abhinav Parasar said that a case was registered in the cyber police station in the past, after which the police were constantly looking for the gangs associated with the gang. Three days ago, the police found important clues after the arrest of Suresh Prasad, the third mastermind of the gang. On the basis of these inputs, raids were conducted on shops and locations of Javed, Dayashankar and Avinesh.

During this, Javed and Pankaj Pandey were arrested, while Dayashankar and Avinesh are still absconding. It was told that all three have their own shop, from where they used to carry out cyber fraud. Investigation also revealed that there was a transaction of USDT (cryptocurrency) between Havildar Pankaj Pandey and Dayashankar Pandey.
Police also said that the ‘Boss Gang’ has been caught in the case of cheating of about 30 lakhs earlier. At present, the search for the absconding accused is going on and the gang network is being investigated. So far, this gang has cheated dozens of people by cheating crores. Police action has stirred cyber thugs in the area.
